Getting started with the NHS App
NHS login
To set up your NHS login you will need:
- an email address (with more than 6 characters)
- a mobile phone number
The NHS website has a login help centre to talk you through how to set up your NHS login, and where you can use it.
To access some websites and apps, you may need to provide some additional information to prove who you are. This is so you can be connected to your NHS record and protect your health information.
This may include your:
- date of birth
- NHS number
- name
- postcode

You will need to download the NHS App onto a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

- ordering repeat prescriptions and choosing a pharmacy where you would like to collect them
- booking appointments

- contact your GP surgery using an online form
- access health services on behalf of someone you care for
- view and manage your hospital and other healthcare appointments
